1. Summary
Socialization is a basic sociological concept consisting of many elements. The goal of socialization is to learn impulse control and the development of conscience, professional roles, gender roles and marriages, sources of meaning, and what is important and valuable. In short, socialization is the process of preparing humans to function in social life.
2. Interesting or New items learned
Through Marshall's interview experiment, it was found that many factors in nursing homes contributed to the residents' socialization with a positive lifestyle of accepting and preparing for the upcoming death. It was amazing to be able to accept death.
3. Question
What are some ways to re-socialize a person who has caused a crime or a big stir in society
Provide opportunities for education and vocational training for criminals to acquire new skills and knowledge and to be financially self-reliant. Provide counseling and rehabilitation programs to help you understand the causes of criminal behavior, overcome social problems, and learn appropriate social behaviors and alternatives. It provides programs for social support and reintegration to criminals to meet basic needs such as daily living, housing, jobs, and healthcare and help them build social networks. Establish a legal support and supervision system to prevent recurrence of crimes so that criminals can comply with legal rules and fulfill their social responsibilities. Integrate criminals into social communities and promote interaction with members of the general society to create an environment where they can be socially connected and supported.
