W8-2) Introduction to Sociology/Politics - 2023086671 Minjoo Kim (김민주)
1) Summarize
Politics is the process by which a community makes socioeconomic decisions. Such politics consists of social relations involving authority or power, regulation of political units, and methods and tactics used to establish and apply social policies.
Political power is the power held by one group in a society that allows the distribution of public resources to be managed by that particular group (community). In government, authority is often used interchangeably with the term "power," but power and authority are different. Authority is the claim of legitimacy, legitimacy, and the right to exercise power.
2) Interesting point
I thought politics was a group of communities, but it was impressive that it was a process of making decisions. I also felt that it was impressive because it reminded me of the government that often used authority by the government to translate it into the term power.
3) Question
How did you define politics before you read this article? And why did you define it like that?
I was also amazed to find out for the first time that politics is a process of making decisions, not any collective. Before reading this article, I thought of politics as just a system that exists for the development of our society and the economy. This is because the meaning of the word politics was too broad and I was not very interested in politics.
