W15.1-Introduction to Sociology/Technology, the Internet, and Virtual Worlds

 1) Summarize 

A technology is a collection of technologies, methods, or processes used to produce a good or service or to achieve a goal, such as scientific research. A well-known example of modern technology is the mobile phone. Mobile phones made it possible to make calls without being directly connected to a telephone line, a technology that preceded mobile phones.

2) Interesting point

One of the things I'm most interested in is that while social networks have many benefits, such as developing business networks or keeping in touch with friends and family who live far away, one of the criticisms of social networks is that they provide a history of objectionable behavior that can cause problems later in life.

3) Discussion point

How will not having technology affect our lives, what can we do and what can we not do?

 1.Summary The sociologist Émile Durkheim described it by saying that it consists of "things beyond the limits of our knowledge".
