W11.2 Social network

1. Summary

 Social networks are social structures consisting of social sciences through collections of social actors, cheap solidarity sets and other social interactions between actors, and are useful theories for studying relationships between individuals, groups, organizations or societies. The social network perspective provides a variety of theories explaining how to analyze the structure of the entire social entity and the patterns observed there. Social network analysis is one of the main paradigms of modern sociology and is also used in other social and formal sciences. It is used in a variety of fields from art to communication, community, crime, demographics, health care, social media, linguistics and literature.

 

2. Interesting point

 I was surprised that social network analysis is really being used in many different areas. I've always thought that social network service analysis is only available on social media, but I found it strange that it's being used in unexpected areas from social media to health care to human ecology. Among them, we were able to find more cases used for health care, and by preventing the prevention and spread of diseases through social network analysis, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) specifically predicted the spread of Ebola virus.

 Are there any problems with social network analysis?
