(1) The original function of religion is
to eliminate distress and anxiety and to obtain hope and peace of mind, mainly
in the area of emotion.
(2) In terms of the will to do good and
evil, the power of religion helps to correct the hearts and minds of the world,
establish ethics and morals, and even initiate social reflection and adjust the
trend of public opinion, among other positive values.
(3) In relation to "science,"
the boundaries between science and religion are clear and irreplaceable, and
there is a strong dependence on each other. Many scientists have drawn
inspiration from religion in their scientific research and practice, thus promoting
