Summary

Realization

I was deeply impressed by the power of participation and collaboration. Traditional goal-setting and policy-making methods are mainly led by the upper classes and often marginalized by the opinions of ordinary citizens, but the presenters' ideas of crowdsourcing have suggested ways to overcome these problems. As I listened to the lecture, I was able to understand how effective the crowdsourcing approach of using technology to embrace more people's opinions and participation can be. By making decisions with more participants through the Internet, SMS, and voice messaging, you can set more transparent and fair goals and policies. After listening to this lecture, I felt that the way of participation through communication and cooperation is very important to create a better world for the present and the future. It has become recognized that more stakeholders and citizens' participation is essential to setting decisive policies and goals. In addition, it is very hopeful that such an open approach through crowdsourcing can contribute to global problem solving. The idea of crowdsourcing presented in the lecture will be a new opportunity for us to listen to various perspectives and opinions on solving social, environmental and political problems. This lecture inspires you to imagine a future world where all members actively participate and share, while also transforming your current approach.
