Summary

Propose the idea of open source architectural design and explain how to use these design philosophies to solve various social problems. They argue that the architectural se industry should shift toward more cooperative and knowledge-sharing interests. He explains how organizations such as his nonprofit Architecture for Humanity are interested in a variety of social issues, offering architectural design and consulting services, and introducing opens design to work with architects around the world. The open-source design approach focuses on free sharing of knowledge, know-how, and innovative architectural solutions. In doing so, it can work with a variety of experts to meet urgent infrastructure needs, helping to address issues such as better living conditions, reduced resources, and community building. For example, Katrina, a hurricane-hit New Orleans area in the U.S., developed a solution to the problem of community flooding, and established several academies for refugees at the earthquake-torn Ki Ray Oak Private School (Haiti). This lecture emphasizes the belief that constantly changing and conversational architecture jobs can create more ways to use them in solving social problems around the world. Open-source design reflects architects' desire to propose solutions to create a better world by sharing a variety of knowledge and experiences, rather than accumulating knowledge in remote spaces. It provides a platform for views that leverage the influence of architectural design and profession to address the needs and challenges of various members of society. 

Realization

The first thing I felt was the strong potential of open-source architectural design. He stressed that sharing information about the design, use, and technology of buildings can have a huge impact on the community and the world. This approach helps to provide effective solutions for communities with limited budgets or lack of expertise in specific architectural issues. The second thing I felt was a new perspective on the role of architects in the pursuit of social interests. Organizations like Architecture for Humanity have shown that architects can contribute to solving social problems and leading better lives, not just focusing on visual and functional elements. This shows that architects can play a more active social service role. The third thing I felt was that open-source design promotes collaboration and engagement. It helps experts in various fields, including architects, designers, engineers, and local residents, combine resources, communicate, and solve problems together. This collaboration will contribute to improving architecture and urban environment in a sustainable way. Finally, open-source architectural design provides an opportunity for architects and professionals around the world to work together to create interests and capabilities. This approach provides an alternative to how architecture can change with the needs of the local community and maintain sustainable relevance.
