Politics
Politics, the process for groups of people to make economic decisions, is commonly accepted as the civil government, which involves power, authority, and violence. The differences between power and authority may be the range of users, which means authority represents the majority. Authority refers to legitimacy, justification, and the practice to exercise power properly and reasonably. That is where the government’s power comes from.
There
are types of governments, like monarchy, democracy, totalitarianism, oligarchy,
communist state, and theocracy. Under different governments’ leadership, people’s
awareness and perceptions vary greatly.
Politics is closely related to
gender, age, race, and class. In recent years, gender equality is an important
factor that influences voting results. There is a strong mathematical
correlation between development, women’s education, and women’s participation
in officials both at local and national levels. Nowadays, young people show
less interest in voting than older people. This is mainly attributed to the
fact that the elderly keep many benefits while young people suffer from
unemployment and work-life stress. Nevertheless, politics hasn’t figured out
the best way to keep balance. At the same time, racial and ethnic minorities
face harder situations in elections and political positions. However, political
power stratifies through income and education. It turns out that wealthier and
more educated people have greater possibilities to vote and be involved in
political positions.
With the development of society,
time will drive the renewal of politics. What remains unchanged should be the foundation
and root of every politics --working for people’s benefit.
