The Influence of the Internet
From a sociological point of view, the Internet is a very complex phenomenon, and it has a wide variety of forms and functions. One of the biggest features is that the Internet changes the amount and quality of information. The Internet has changed the distribution channel of information that existed before, enabling the production and distribution of innovative information. This change in information has led the Internet to play a more important social role than before. Also, the Internet is creating new forms of social problems that can even cause scary things. For example, the distribution of harmful digital content through the Internet and the leakage of personal information. Therefore, the Internet is socially significant and has various influences, and is recognized as one of the very important phenomena from a sociological point of view.

Korea Internet ranking
Korea is ranked very high in the world in terms of Internet accessibility. In 2020, Korea ranked first among 192 countries in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development Index released by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). This is one of the measurements of the extent to which the Internet and information and communication technologies are developed and disseminated in Korea. In addition, a digital economy and society report released in January 2021 showed that Korea ranks fourth in the world in terms of digital accessibility and second in the world in terms of usage environment. These results show that Korea is a world leader in Internet technology and digital environment.

Internet Characteristics

Information Sharing and Distribution: The Internet is designed to quickly share and distribute various forms of information and content worldwide. This gives the public the opportunity to get information anywhere in the world at any time they want, and even small creators have the opportunity to introduce their work globally.

Massity: The Internet is configured to store and process large amounts of information. This massiveness has made it possible for many people to share information and talk, and these conversations appear in various forms, such as popular content, online communities, and social media.

Speed and real-time: Because the Internet has high speed and real-time, it supports various services such as real-time interaction, live broadcasting, games, and big data. Even in this functional aspect, the Internet is enabling a variety of business models and new services.

My opinion
With the development of the Internet, there are many positive effects on society, but at the same time, many problems are many problems. So I thought about the precautions when using the Internet.
When you use the Internet, you should be careful not to leak your personal information. In particular, if you are accessing a site that contains your sensitive information, you should make sure that the site you are accessing is a trusted site.
