This video mentions the economic inequity and it is really interesting how it manages to have various impacts in society, regarding; robbery/theft, kidnappings, and any type of social negative parts. This is what I like to call "economic justice" is the idea that the economy will be more successful if it is fairer, and that prosperity and justice go hand in hand rather than hand.

I like to introduce "Economic justice": I think that it begins with a commitment to the well-being of workers, safety in the workplace and decent wages. As an example, the current national minimum wage of the United States. It is $7.25 per hour; at 40 hours per week for 52 weeks, the minimum wage is $15,080 per year. If someone was trying to keep a family on a minimum wage, they would qualify for federal assistance for poverty.

The goal is to create opportunities for everyone to prosper. Universal basic income, equal income by gender and race, equal opportunities for employment and credit, and enabling everyone to reach their full potential are key principles of economic justice. 17 out of 10,000 people in the United States were homeless in a single night in January 2019 when the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development last counted. This translates into more than half a million Americans living without permanent shelter every night.  It is estimated that more than 23 million people, more than half of them low-income, live in food deserts. Lack of access to healthy food and resulting malnutrition leads to higher levels of obesity and chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. And with recent cuts to the food coupon program (average $90 per month per recipient), achieving a healthy diet will be much harder for the poor. Also, we could think of why other countries are more pacific than others. This is because the education, living conditions, laws and economy are really high and also political power makes the difference. Making the contrast with violent/non-peaceful countries, is about politics, non-beneficial laws for everyone & the lack of economic stability for all habitants. According to IPG, Iceland was ranked first as the most peaceful country in the world for the ninth consecutive year, while it is the second year that Syria ranks last. Since the outbreak of the civil war in the Middle East in 2013, the Middle East has been among the world's five least peaceful nations, something that also happens to Afghanistan and Iraq.

An attempt to achieve economic justice or fair economy society is a progressive tax system in which the tax rate increases as the amount of basic income increases. The objective of progressive taxation is to remedy income inequality and provide funds for social services, public infrastructure and education. Other examples of economic justice institutions include employment income credit, affordable housing and federal financial assistance based on the need for university students.
