Symbolic interactionism is a sociological theory that implies that humans use shared languages specifically to create common symbols and meanings. This helps not only understand how society is preserved and created through repeated interactions between interactions, but also helps the process of creating and interpreting meaning. Shared understanding and interpretation have a significant impact on interaction and behavior. Most symbolic interactionists believe that physical reality actually exists through individual social justice. Therefore, people respond indirectly to this reality through a kind of filter composed of different perspectives of individuals and to social understanding of reality.

Regarding symbolic interactionism, some criticize that the framework is broad and general, based on the assumption that it is a theory. Symbolic interactionism is a theoretical framework rather than theory, and can be evaluated based on effective conceptualization. The theoretical framework is ambiguous when it comes to analyzing empirical data or predicting the consequences of social life. The problem with this model is that it does not consider much human emotions that imply that symbolic interactions are completely psychological, and that it is of limited interest to social structures that imply that symbolic interactions are completely sociological.

I somewhat agree with the position of criticizing symbolic interactionism because many scholars find it difficult to use it as a framework, not a theory. What do you think of the position of criticizing symbolic interactionism?
