Why fewer women enroll in college/university in Korea than men?
: Until just a few decades ago, the prevailing tendency in Korean society was to think of men getting jobs and working and women doing housework as a common family. Therefore, women who do housework often thought that they did not need to study, so women attending universities that were not essential education were inevitably smaller than men. That is why such results have been shown. However, as society develops, awareness related to gender differences grows, and the number of men and women going to college does not differ significantly without distinguishing roles according to gender.
