W9.1 Government

W9.1 Government

1) Summarize

This wiki is about the government. A government is an institution that governs a country or society. The government first appeared about 5,000 years ago, and now the modern government exists as a developed institution, although different countries have different forms.

The political system typically includes democracy, republic, and federalism. Democracy is a form of government in which citizens exercise power directly or indirectly and govern a country. And a republic is a form of government in which the position of the state is elected or appointed. Finally, federalism is a form of government in which members are bound by contract with the monarch.

Governments are generally separated into powers into legislation, administration, and justice, which have the function of monitoring power. Most governments are run by officials and public officials, and in the case of multi-party governments, there are many parties, and these parties keep each other in check and compete and develop.

2) Mention new, interesting, or unusual items learned

This wiki shows which countries are democratic and authoritarian through maps. One interesting thing about this data is that there are more authoritarian regimes than I thought. Since the country I live in now is Korea and a democracy, I thought that there would be much more democracies than authoritarian ones as I became more familiar with democracy, but it was amazing that there were also many authoritarian countries.

3) Question

Which one can only be said to be right, democratic or authoritarian?
