W8.1 Socioeconomics, Economic sociology
1) Summary
Socioeconomic factors in environmental changes include deforestation, pollution and natural disasters. Deforestation removes animal habitats and cuts trees into soil erosion. Pollution is highly polluted by the sea, which provides negative nutrition to fish, causing food insecurity. Natural disasters are becoming increasingly serious as the environment changes. These destruction can affect the local economic system because it interferes with the flow of the entire community. They are affected by government policies and situational factors that adversely affect the environment. Human-environmental interaction creates a domino effect, and all socioeconomic systems are interconnected and have a global impact. The study of the social causes and effects of economic phenomena is called economic sociology. Economic sociology is said to be considered a field at the intersection of economics and sociology.
2) New point
I learned something new about modern economics and sociology. Modern socioeconomics now says that all research can be included in the social dimension. Areas frequently explored in modern economic sociology include the social consequences of economic exchanges, the social implications of economic exchanges, and social interactions that promote and hinder economic exchanges.
3) Question
The Society of Socioeconomics aims to encourage work on the rational pursuit of social, economic, institutional and market relations, moral commitments and selfishness. What are some examples of these academic societies and what activities do they do?
