 1.summary

Socialization is a basic concept in sociology. It contains many elements, but it is impossible to distinguish which are the most important elements. Socialization is not culturally identical all over the world, but varies according to race, religion, gender, etc. Some of the more classic institutions in socialization are prison psychiatric institutions, etc. Genetic factors and social environmental factors are factors that affect human socialization. Socialization allows individuals to know what society or group expects of themselves and what norms they have.and then gradually adapt the individual to society and observe the social norms of behavior.

2.interesting points

There's an old Chinese saying, "When a man begins, his nature is good."But is that really the case? Through today's understanding of socialization, I think this sentence is not completely true. If a person is born in a pure and kind environment, he may be born kind, but with the social learning may become bad.But if a person is born into a vicious family environment, he may be born with evil nature, but when he enters the society, he becomes better with a well-educated society. So we shouldn't discriminate against prisoners or mentally ill children. We shouldn't look at everyone from a class perspective. Society is everyone's teacher. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has a chance to mend their ways. Maybe he's bad today, but he'll be fine tomorrow. Socialization affects everyone, but everyone also affects the change of socialization.

3.questions

Some mental patients generally say things that ordinary people don't understand and do things that ordinary people don't understand, but because they are a minority, they are considered psychotic. What are the criteria for judging mental illness? Do people have to comply with socialization requirements?
