1) Summarization

A government is a group of people who have the authority to make and enforce laws and decisions for a country, state, or community. It is responsible for maintaining order, providing public services, managing the economy, and protecting the nation's citizens. Governments can be democratic, authoritarian, or based on other systems, depending on the political ideology and structure of the nation.

2) What was interesting/what did you learn?

It is interesting to know that the historically prevalent forms of government include monarchy, aristocracy, timocracy, oligarchy, democracy, theocracy, and tyranny. These forms are not always mutually exclusive, and mixed governments are common. The main aspect of any philosophy of government is how political power is obtained, with the two main forms being electoral contest and hereditary succession.

How can government promote equality and address issues of discrimination and prejudice within society?

    First, in terms of legal concepts, we should firmly establish the principle and concept of gender equality, and use the concept of gender equality to guide and interpret relevant legislation and guide the whole process of law implementation. The right idea is the soul of law. Secondly, in the legal system, anti-gender discrimination laws should be formulated and introduced as soon as possible to make up for the structural deficiencies of the legal system, so that the regulation and prevention of gender discrimination can be based on laws. Third, we should use the concept of gender equality and the anti-gender Discrimination law to guide judicial organs, relevant government law enforcement departments and social organizations in exercising their statutory functions and powers to eliminate all acts of gender discrimination and enable victims of gender discrimination to more effectively defend their legitimate rights and interests through the law.
