 1.Summary

People are social animals. People live together and people form common habits and behaviors. Every human behavior is learned. Familiarity with unwritten rules helps people feel safe and at ease. Members of a society interact, live in definable areas, and share a culture. Culture includes the group's shared practices, values, beliefs, norms, and artifacts. A sociologist might analyze videos of people from different societies having everyday conversations to study the rules of polite conversation. Different world cultures.

2.Interesting point

To understand the essential difference between the words counterculture and subculture, a basic understanding of Latin roots is required. The prefix "counter" denotes opposition and "sub" denotes underneath.

Counterculture is a reaction to existing popular culture and swings the pendulum in the opposite direction. In fact, the word counterculture has a political connotation in that it directly opposes the existing dominant culture in order to cause social change. A clear example of counterculture throughout the last century might be feminists and feminists, hippies and the punk movement. All of these countercultures had specific beliefs and values, and they fought for some essential change that would affect the dominant culture.

Subcultures can have their own beliefs, norms and values, but they are generally able to exist within the dominant culture. That is, their political beliefs and social structures may not be as outspoken as those of the counterculture. Their beliefs or ways of being may be different enough to make them stand out, but they do not contradict society.Examples of subcultures might be Goths, Emos, Surfies, Homies.Many subcultures are based on aesthetics or common interests.

 1.Summary The sociologist Émile Durkheim described it by saying that it consists of "things beyond the limits of our knowledge".
