There are three important factors in society. These are gender, race and ethnicity, and these factors have an intervening influence on social status and stratification in most parts of the world.

While many countries recognize gender equality and the need to empower women, governments can use gender budgeting to structure spending and taxation to further advance gender equality -- increasing women's participation in the workforce and thus promoting economic growth and stability.
